Faced with a surge in pupil numbers, the school reached out to Excel to secure temporary classrooms until additional spaces could be constructed within the main building. After a site visit in March, it became apparent that a comprehensive turnkey project was necessary. This encompassed organising planning permission, building control, groundworks, access, and electrical supply, in addition to the modular classrooms.
Our modules are meticulously crafted in the factory and fitted out to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional quality. Designed with practicality in mind, they seamlessly blend into the school surroundings. Finished with light grey plastisol steel cladding and anthracite trims, windows, and doors, the modules perfectly complement the existing school building. The cladding not only offers durability but also requires minimal maintenance and is resistant to vandalism, presenting a cost-effective and flexible solution.

Excel was initially approached to supply two linked jackleg cabins; however, following several design proposals, the client ultimately selected a purpose-built modular complex for their new offices in Darlington.
The client first reached out to Excel in 2024 with only minimal details confirmed. At the time, we didn’t know which artist was involved—only that it would be a short-term hire for a concert taking place in Hull.
