The client first reached out to Excel in 2024 with only minimal details confirmed. At the time, we didn’t know which artist was involved—only that it would be a short-term hire for a concert taking place in Hull. Once the location was confirmed, we immediately knew this was something we wanted to be part of. Hull is our hometown, and supporting such a special event felt like the perfect fit.
The client had been struggling to source a modular building suitable for use as a recording studio on such a short-term basis. We knew we had the perfect solution. It’s fair to say our building stood out from the rest of the temporary facilities on site.
Although a two-week hire isn’t something we typically offer, this was an amazing project to be involved in. We provided a two-bay modular building from our existing stock, perfectly suited to the client’s requirements and delivered right on schedule.
Fast forward to August 2025, and we’ve just collected our building from site after one of the biggest concerts Hull has ever seen… Coldplay! Being part of such a landmark event in our city was a real privilege and a project we’re incredibly proud to have supported.
